Cholderton can now offer accommodation under license with the YHA as a Superior Bunkhouse until the new wing is built in 2005 when it will be re-graded as a Youth Hostel. The accommodation is on the first floor of the farmhouse, where there are two shower rooms, 2x6 bedded single sex dorms that can also be used for families, 2x3 bedded rooms that have already proved popular for small families. We can provide a travel cot. Prices are: £12.60 including admission to the farm and linen, £10.60 without linen (you bring your sleeping-bag etc.) Children £9.25 and £7.25 respectively. No concessions. The family room is charged at a room rate but is available for couples or single parents. The self-catering facilities are extremely limited as it is intended to be a catered for facility with bookable evening meals, from the cafe menu, and breakfasts (hot, cold, vegetarian) ranging in price from £3.50-£4.50 for English breakfast. People staying must be members of the YHA an English charity committed to helping people understand and enjoy the countryside today. Membership is only £14 for an adult and £7 for a child, a family membership is £28 for a year and gives you access to a huge number of wonderful hostels. The accommodation can take 16 people as singles and 18 if there are those happy to share a lower double bed bunk. Ideal for small groups and whole hostel can be booked both in season and out of season with catering where required. The out of season whole hostel rate is £330 excluding linen hire for minimum two nights, there is an additional cleaning charge if the group do not wish to carry out their own cleaning after staying.
